The Lamalou river, is located near by Pic Saint Loup, not far from Montpellier, and the Ravin des Arcs canyon,with its nice sceney is also a famous hiking area.
Going down this canyon we can do many jumps, some of these are quite high, a few zip lines, and also some slides and abseils.
During spring the area is the nesting territory of a mediterranean eagle, the Bonelli Eagle wich is rare and protected.
Therefore canyoning at that time of the year is not allowed.
Water is running out during summer so the best time to do this canyon is automn, after the first heavy rains when water is back.
